The Red Sox and Aaron cook have agreed to a minor league contract, pending a physical, according to Ken Rosenthal. As long as he passes a physical he is invited to Spring Training. Cook will be reunited with Bob McClure, who worked in the Rockies’ organization from 1999 to 2005. Cook is our all-time wins leader with 72.
Aaron Cook Joining the Red Sox

Good luck, Aaron. You distinguished yourself in Denver but I’m just happy the Rox didn’t resign you as a FA. Last year was just too painful to watch you. We’ll all be rooting for you to make the team and tear up the AL.
Yep, good luck if you get the chance to pitch in Fenway
Why do the Red Sox keep picking up our cast off pitchers?
Good luck Aaron. I hope you and Frankie have good years.
According to my Red Sox friend, it is because we have no idea how to use our pitchers and we are letting potential aces fall by the wayside from lack of development…he was stoked to get Frankie and I’m sure he will be telling me that Cook is the greatest starter since Cy Young, in their hands that is…
Franklin was used in every potential situation, with a little inconsistent success each time, but each time he subsequently failed. I think the Sox will eventually learn the hard way.
that is exactly what i said to him, almost word for word, but he just laughed and blamed it on our pitching coaches…cocky punk!

I know he has the talent, but what I saw was someone that couldn’t handle the pressure of the situation. Maybe the staff was to blame for that? I don’t know. I just remember the game he got called for 2 balks and one wasn’t a balk, but he melted down. It seemed like he melted down a ton. I think that a change of scenery will help, but Red Sox fans won’t be as understanding if he has issues.… Read more »
cocky punk?? look, i’m 40 so i’ll take any insinuation that i’m young! frankie came to a redsox bullpen that had more holes than a practice putting green. the guy has legit stuff… it’s just what’s between the ears that has a problem. he did well for us… no double balks! 😉 the Sox has a history of “breaking” arms but we are good, very good, with developing the mental edge of a professional player. that happens when you actually… Read more »
ladies and gents, meet my “red sox” friend 🙂
