Colorado Rockies return home for a ten game homestand vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. They will bring Zack Grienke, Clayton Kershaw, Dan Haren, and Josh Beckett to mow down the Rockies to extend their misery. Long at last Nolan Arenado will be bring some energy to the clubhouse and back up Kerosene with some stellar defense. If Kerosene can keep the ball inside the park and keep the walks to a minimum, he will give the Rockies an outside chance to win the game. If not, the fans can watch the bonfire on the field and then the fireworks after the game.

I didn’t see any notice on Rockies website nor the DP site but in bringing up Arenado they sent Friedrich back down to the Springs. He’s obviously not a big-league pitcher at the moment. I presume the next guy to get a chance will be either Gray or Jurggens. Or is Anderson ready?
The writing is on the wall that Jair Jurggens will start tomorrow. Brett Anderson made start limited to 65 pitches yesterday. Next start 75 pitches which I presume will be Monday. Third start will be about 85 pitches and Rockies will decide if that start will be in rehab or with the big club. Boone loan will be activated either tomorrow or Saturday. Cargo hours to be activated right before all star break. If not first game after all star… Read more »
On another thread I mentioned that with Weiss only using Hawkins in closer situations, and the Rockies having so few of them, he would be rusty when he finally pitches in a “game” situation. Unfortunately I was right. And Agibanyi has been telling us for two years that DJ Lamaihu (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) is not the answer at 2nd. I agree. He’s suppose to be the defensive 2nd baseman and any hitting he does is a bonus.… Read more »
Friedrich: Another wasted #1 pick by this organization.
Tonight was a red-letter night for the Montforts. Full party deck, exceptional fireworks show, as usual. If they were a member of Major League Fireworks, they’d win it all every year. But they’re not… they’re supposedly part of Major League Baseball, which they barely resemble. We could have fireworks and a party deck with a AAA team. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE MLB. It’s not. Even the Astros and the Cubs have a brighter future. And there isn’t a doggone… Read more »
