Here comes the Big Red Machine with Alfredo Simon (12-7, 3.08) at the helm tonight for the start of a four-game set. The Rockies’ lone victory in Cincinnati came against Simon who hasn’t won since the All-Star break. Jorge De La Rosa (11-8, 4.34) will attempt to match Simon tonight for the number of wins. Colorado won’t begin celebrating Helton’s #17 retirement weekend until Friday and it lasts for three days until the grand finale on Sunday.

Rockies have zero I.Q. Man on third base, two outs, and one run behind. Pitcher on deck, you pitch to him instead of walking intentionally to pitch to pitcher. Sooooo stuuuupid.
And that’s why I stopped watching them. Too many nights going to bed pissed off.
See…. Now the the smart team walks #8 hitter intentionally with 2 outs to get pitcher. Stupid Rox – text book baseball. I’m trying not to throw a remote at the TV.
Is it low IQ or have they given up? I can’t tell anymore.
Maybe at this point they are not trying to win per se but to challenge their players to do the hard way? Maybe. At this point winning isn’t big but learning is. That being said, seeing the obvious play not done is so frustrating for ball fans to watch. Then again the whole thing is hard to watch.
