Can the Rox continue hitting tonight?

After the walk-off last night, Colorado has infused some enthusiasm back into Coors Field magic.  The call ups were keys in yesterday’s rally, specifically Rafael Ynoa, Ben Paulsen, and Yohan Flande.  The lineup tonight has Ynoa playing third base batting second as a switch hitter.  Jackson Williams a callup last week takes over for Fort McKenry.  Walt Weiss is asking Drew Stubbs to clean out Yusmeiro Petit’s (4-3, 3.44) clock hitting in the clean up spot (pun intended).  It should be noted that Rod Scahill has been called up today and Thomas Kahnle has been activated off the DL today to reinforce the  safety wall protecting Three Mile Island.  Jordan Lyles (6-2, 4.08) will attempt to keep the Giants to fewer runs than Colorado’s output tonight.

RMH…

TMI…little did I know that that moniker would be so well received.

I realize we may be breaking our arms by patting ourselves on the back, but, our nicknames should be used by the national press.

Kerosene, Fine China, Money, Zero, FOPO, TMI…classics, one and all.

Did I miss any?

Maybe Bullshit instead of Bullpen. As in Walt reached into the Bullshit to assure the Rox would have no chance of holding the lead.

Much like the Padres did with their GM situation (fire Towers, hire replacement before end of season) – the Astros are now doing with their Managerial slot. Bo Porter is gone. Poor guy didn’t have a chance. That being said…..I like the fact that the ‘stros are getting a jump on the 2K15 Managerial swapfest. Once again…..the Rox aren’t smart enough to do this sort of thing.

carp, on the Astros — pretty interesting article ran in Business Week (!) last week about their new version of Moneyball. Interesting information on Collin McHugh, the guy we picked up in the EYJ trade. We gave McHugh one start when we got him, then (weirdly) sent him down and called up the horror that was Jeff Manship. McHugh got released over the winter. The Astros had scouted him right down to the level of the rpm’s on his curveball… Read more »

Agree.

FWIW – I didn’t post my comment because I’m a Walt hater (even though I used Bo Porter as an example). I am coming to the conclusion that’s he’s not a good major league manager, but there are SO many bigger problems upstream of Walt I think it’s pointless to fire him without first making upstream changes.
