The Rockies come into tonights game agains the Diamondbacks with an opportunity to sweep their first series of the season. The team has had three* other shots at a sweep and each time failed to close it out. Thankfully they have won more series than they’ve lost with five series wins, two series losses and one series split:
SERIES SCORECARD:
MARLINS: L,L,W,L
*DBACKS W,W,L
WHITE SOX: W,L,W
GIANTS: L,W,L
PADRES: L,W,L,W
*PHILLIES: W,W,L
*GIANTS: W,W,L
DODGERS: W,L,W
DBACKS: W,W,?
So, with tonight’s fourth shot at a sweep it is comforting to know that Jordan Lyles will take the mound. Lyles, a very nice surprise after being sent down for a few hours before getting his call-up after spring, has the best ERA of the bunch (2.93).
ROCKIES STARTING LINEUP
In other notes, Chatwood was placed on the 15-day DL with an elbow strain after last night and Chad Bettis was called back up to replace him, although not in the starting rotation. Chances are that Chacin will be ready to pitch on Sunday against the Mets after his excellent rehab start last night going six innings of one-run ball on 96 pitches.

I have a feeling this will be a crushing night for CO sports fans …
Wow! Psychic powers were correct last night Ag.
I would like to know the percentage of losses this year that Rex Brothers had a hand in. I would guess 85%
I can hear Ed theump screaming, never throw a strike in 0-2 counts. Brothers did that twice giving up hits. Ball game.
