Jhoulys Chacin will take the mound tonight against the Padres. This will be his first appearance after a shortened start last Thursday against the Cubs. He was scheduled to go at least four innings, but was taken out after three scoreless innings with a blister on his index finger. After the game Chacin brushed off any concern reporters had about his hand by saying,
I just cut my nail too short and I get a blister…It’s nothing to worry about. Everything is fine. I’m going to make my next start anyway.
