In a match up winless pitchers, Yohan Flande (0-5, 5.04) will toss against Vidal Nuno (0-6, 3.48) tonight at Coors Field. Franklin Morales goes back to the bullpen and the Rockies have decided to go to a six-man rotation to finish out the season. Eddie Butler will be the #6 pitcher.
One game separates the Rockies (61-91) and the Diamondbacks (62-90) in the race for the #3 overall draft pick (unless Texas go on a winning binge & apparently Houston has #2 pick). Colorado needs two more victories to avoid the 100-loss season.

Who needs TMI when you’ve got his right-handed buddy Matt Belisle? Way to throw gas on that fire, Matt.
OK, another RWO let’s the D-Backs climb into a tie with the Rockies. Pretty impressive homer, I must say. I STILL will not be optimistic next spring…really.
Nice bomb by Wilin, that was a HIGH bounce on the concourse.
Belisle really just seems to be done. Doing help that Kahnle didn’t make a single pitch, but giving up the giant fly ball for the sacrifice just shows he’s pitching to contact, not what he he used to do.
Flande might be the middle reliever they need…
Whatever happened to Christian Friedrich? Hurt again?
It’s just too bad we’re not an AL team. Our pieces would fit much better with a DH slot.
(BTW – I’m not a fan of the AL in general – much prefer the NL style personally).
