Four-run 3rd Inning Outburst Dooms Roxbolas

Anibal Sanchez continued his career mastery of the Rockies by mixing fastballs and breaking balls to keep the Roxbola hitters off balance pitching the Detroit Tigers to a 4-0 victory.  Jorge De La Rosa had a bad case of hiccups in the third inning after two outs and bases empty in the third inning.  A hustle double, HBP, a Miguel Cabrerra RBI single, and a Victor Martinez 3-run homer later, the Roxbolas were on their way to a 4-0 loss.

A special charter plane will transport the Roxbolas who are afflicted with the Montbola disease back home where they will be quarantined and treated at Coors Field by the Dr. Cubs.  Then it’s on to Chase Field where the Dr. Dbacks will attempt to bury the Roxbolas with honor.  Meanwhile the RWO trio (EdtheUmp, TJ in Phoenix, and rmh) will be treated at the Jose Cuervas chamber with visitation by their lovely significant others.

I keep expecting ESPN’s lead on the crawler to say “Rockies terrible, management continues clueless; no hope for future”

Good pitching beats well below average hitting every time. Meanwhile, those pesky Texas Rangers continue to match ineptitude game-by-game with us. They’re still a game “ahead” of us for first draft pick. We’re now on a 64-98 pace, exactly as bad as we were when we “hit bottom” (or so we thought) in 2012.

Being that I live in eastern Nebraska would have loved to see the Rockies win at least one of these games. Not!!!

Got to say it, Monday was the best day of Rockies baseball in some time.
