Christian Friedrich will make his debut today against the Padres. First pitch is at 1:35 and it will NOT be televised thanks to the messed up blackout rules of the MLB or Roots lack of caring what the fans want.
The lineup looks more like a Sunday affair as opposed to a regular lineup with Giambi, Rosario and Herrera on the field. Tulo will not start today as the team wants to be cautious after he pulled his groin last night beating out an infield hit. Tulo would like to still play, but knows how those things turn out when you push them. Scutaro will slide over to short making way for Johnny at 2nd.

I would pull my groin if I decided to sprint down the line because I have not sprinted in a while. Same with Tulo.
THAT’S THE ROCKIES LEADER!!!!! Trade him.
i only hope this witch hunt against Tulo has a happy ending with him getting another GG and SS and again in the top 10 of MVP voting (like he’s been the past 3 years)…
I guess I am still angry with him after reading Ed’s post. I do hope he has success in a Rockies uniform.
Can I refer to him as “Tool-O”?
Wow! We’re all mad about the terrible start but to want to trade Tulo is taking it to the extreme.
Maybe it was a little over dramatic
Interesting lineup I guess. Not a complaint at all. Last time Tulo sat he came back out with a great series. Can we at least score more than a few runs today?
This lineup reminds me of last year. so many outs!!!
I guarantee we will record at least 27 outs today!
ha! 27 outs…classic…my favorite is only scoring 26 or fewer outs in a game because that means you either won it in the 8th (with the top of the 9th being a formality) or walked-off in the 9th…sure, that can’t happen on the road, but it is still my fav!
I should have said, “continued success”.
I like Fredrich!!! I think this guy needs to stick in the rotation!!!
Tulo been nursing a groin injury perhaps that explains his slump and why people are saying he’s lost his range, still he has hit safely in 15 of the last 17 games fighting in his at bats whilst trying to find his swing. I like the way we have played today much better team effort, perhaps the behind close door team meeting today by tracy has sparked something lets get back to 500. its still a long season
Pooter wants to trade Tulo and start EY, Jr. everyday? Is it a full moon?
Ha Ha!! I admitted to being over dramatic on that post. I know Tulo is one of the best ever.
I feel a little better about the Rockies’ prospects after the pitching performances of White and Friedrich. They each earned another start, and hopefully many more than that.
Agreed Julian but I’m also remembering that it was against the Padres in Petco. I am glad he got his 1st start there. A better measure maybe how Friedrich does against the Giants in ATT. Then he has to deal with Coors.
