The headline is honor of my late dad (who used to take the train from northern Illinois into Wrigley as a kid with his brother in the 1930s, and who never lived to hear the Cubbies’ “win” song), but more in celebration of a Cards loss to the Cubs, keeping the hopes of the Pirates alive for the division. Clint’s team is in the playoffs as of tonight, and good for them. At this point, I would just love to see a couple of good-guy underdog teams in the World Series – Pirates and Royals, whaddaya say? Some root-able teams besides/along with some of the usual boring (and enviable) regulars. Please.
Hey, Chicago, Whaddaya Say?

Congrats Clint! The Rox kicking him to the curb was a perfect example of listening to the spoiled kid (Tulo) over the experienced adult in the room…
Seriously, did Tulo get him booted?! Or largely so?
If memory serves Tulo wasn’t performing like he should and Clint called him out in public (something I don’t agree with, but there you go) and next thing you know Clint is gone…
Correlation is not causation, though 😉 Me defending FC to the end…lol
I don’t believe it was FC’s fault either…ownership should have just let the thing play out…Tracy came in and got credit for Clints groundwork…it is like steering a big ship, it doesn’t turn on a dime…
