It About Time Brass Get OF Right, 8/15 @ AZ

Drew Stubbs was recalled and Rafael Ynoa was sent out.  What took the  management staff so long to figure that out?  They had to figure it out be reading our RWO website?  Jon Gray pitches tonight and he loaded the bases in the first inning with no outs.  He proceeded to strike out the next three batters to get out of this mess.  That goes to show how important it is to have a starter capable of striking out batters when they are in a jam.

So RMH – how do you think the Stubbs decision went down?

I’m thinking the front office guys were stumped, logged onto RWO, read some comments, picked up the phone, called ABQ and brought Stubbs up. Then cussed us the rest of the day.

About a month ago, when DJ was raking, I posted something noting he was on pace for 200+ hits. You quickly, and correctly, noted that his BABIP was unsustainable. I came back with some sort of quick stat “normalization” predicting that he might end up with 165 hits (I can’t remember the exact number).
