Jorge vs. Rubby

Last night was a perfect illustration of the Rockies’ need to have pitchers with pinpoint control.  All those free passes issued last night by the pitching staff aided Arizona’s big innings.

Today appears to be a throw away game; Daniel Descalso and Rafael Ynoa will be the double play combo while CarGo sits out another game.  Fort McKenry is in for Nick Hundley.  Ben Paulsen is asked to be the clean up hitter today.  Fuggetboutit today.  It’s amazing that the day after Walt Weiss for maybe the first time ever pieced together bullpen early to hang on to the lead to get the ball to the Ax, he turns around and throws away the rubber game of a three-game series.  Will the real WW please stand up?

Don’t forget to stuff the ballot for Arenado before voting deadline.  He is currently in fourth place even though he is easily the best third baseman if you factor in both defense and hitting.  Also help move Giancarlo Stanton move up into the starting OF.

The game will not be televised by ROOT_RM today.  Thank goodness with this lineup today.  If you have MLB.TV and live outside the Rockies and Arizona viewing areas, you can watch the game live on your computer, tablet, or cell.

Incoming, incoming, incoming –

Our favorite he-man pitcher finger is hurting. Somewhere in New Mexico Ed is cussing right now!

Big P does it again. Get rid of this malcontent.

“Oh, my finger hurts. Maybe I should have tried to hold the ball differently. Nah, I still get my salary whether I pitch or not. It’s nice getting hurt on a regular basis so I don’t have to face the pressure of competing like a real athlete.”

Give him to the Dodgers for a bag of used balls…preferably his.

Carp, when I saw “injury delay” I was all ready with my own snarky comment. But then I thought better. What if he got hit by a comebacker like Nicasio? Wouldn’t I be the a-hole then. I guess I shouldn’t have worried about that. Blister? Hang nail? Which one is it for Big P this time?

Being the “King of Snark” with this group is no easy task. The competition is fierce.

Let’s start a petition to have a Colorado, Arizona, Milwaukee, Philadelphia Division established in the NL.

Is it time to eat Logan’s salary and replace him on the roster with Gray. What a waste this guy has been.He is now my yearly candidate for someone to tar and feather and push for him to be driven to Siberia or the Pirates where ex Rox go to excel. C.Volstad sighting last night for the Bucs-2 perfect innings.Rob Scahill-1.89 ERA.Astros C.McHugh now 9-3.

Well, blow me down! They came back and won? I quit monitoring around the 7th when they were down by a monumental one run. AND I see Tulo acted clutch and tied it with a big fly! Knock me down with a feather!

“My finger hurts.”

DLR gets more people surrounding him on the mound blowing on his booboo than guys who blow out their arm.

Interesting bit of scheduling coming up:

6 games in the Bay area (3SF, 3OAK). The guys should appreciate that! Then a quick trip down to Phoenix for another series with our weak cousin in the NL West. Kudos to schedule maker for this trip – it makes a lot of sense!
