Sunday tickets should be discounted. Then again why do I care I will never attend a Sun. game.

We’re going to miss Todd when he’s gone. His defense is still better than most.

This lineup is worse than yesterday’s lineup. No Tulo? no Helton? No Dickerson? No Fowler? Looks like Walt is trying to go all right handed bats regardless of talent.

Three runs in first inning off Kershaw is pretty impressive. I bet that’s it for the day. Final score will be 8-3.

Cuddyer cost us the game today with two GIDPs with man on third and less than two outs.

Bettis has a long way to go to learn how to pitch to major league hitters. I have to keep reminding myself of that when we hear about how Jon Gray and Eddie Butler are the new aces of our rotation come 2014-2015. Bettis was every bit as good in AA as Butler. So was Pomeranz … Now, as for Gray, I still hold out hope that he’s the once-in-a-generation draft pick for the Rockies.

WW has them right where he wants them- tough game in altitude where Puig got hurt, their bullpen had to unexpectedly get used, and the Rox rested their big guns for the next two games. It’s all about winning series. No chance with Bettis going against Kershaw but the next two days the Rox can bring on the pitching and get the big boys back in action. At least I hope that’s what WW was thinking.

So with the passing of August, my almost 20th season of seeing a Rockies regular season game fell away.
