Scary situation for Chris Nelson and his family as doctors had to shock his heart back into rhythm Tuesday. In light of his hospitalization the team moved him to the DL. Jonathan Herrera has also been moved to the DL with an ailing shoulder.
DJ LeMahieu and Andrew Brown have been called up to take their places with the club. LeMahieu can play second, short and third. LeMahieu, the second piece in the Cubs Stewart trade, has already played for the Rockies. The Post reports it is an infected wrist ailing Herrera. Apparently his Rolex has been chafing.
It really sucks for Nelson this has occurred. He has appeared all set to break-out and live-up to his 1st-rounder status, but first the heel, then the ankle, and now this heart thing.
What happened to Nelson does suck from the perspective that it didn’t correct itself or the meds didn’t correct it. I’m sure he will recover just fine.
