Welcome to your new site for all-things-rockies. I have many great and wonderful plans for this site and hope to get all of your thoughts and comments on the site itself, but most importantly, your thoughts on the Rockies! Our conversations over at insideTheRockies.com have been amazing, and I really want those same comments to continue here with the same fervor, passion and excellent personal insight that we all have come to love reading. With that in mind, I’ve created this site for us to keep the discussion alive.
As the new season approaches I will be adding several features to the site including an area for rating the top games of the year, live chat during the games, etc. Soon I will have a link active for those of you that would like to post yourselves so we can have multiple points of view via personal posts.
As with any big/new project, the dust is still settling and there are things you might notice as being out of place…please don’t hesitate to put comments in this post thread giving me an idea of what doesn’t look right, would help if it was better, etc. Even if you think I know, kick me your ideas.
Thanks in advance one and all for keeping the conversation going…
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS!!!
Looks great, thanks for giving us a place to go once ITR goes away.
Great work Jardean! I know several have expressed there love for the old ITR site and how much we have enjoyed the community over the last three years. So here’s hoping that this site will be a success and around for many years for all of us to enjoy. Initial impreesion is the formay looks great, and the avatars seem to jump off the sreen which is really cool. I might have to get me an avatar just to keep… Read more »
Jardean, thanks a million. I didn’t always comment, but I always read the other site (and thanks to Steve, Jack and Tracy for their tremendous efforts on that site that was the foundation for this one). I’m happy there’s a place to go during the long off season and, now during those games when it’s nice to have some company for the misery. Hopefully this year the in game chatter will be about how well the Rockies are performing (there’s… Read more »
Site looks awesome keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you Jaredean. The site looks great and I am sure it will be just as popular with all of us. You have done a great job and I bow to your magnificence. Again, thanks for all your hard work in accomplishing this task. To Steve, Tracy, and Jack THANK YOU for running this site for the past 2+ years. It has been the one site I go to first thing in the morning and always has a tab open… Read more »
Does anyone know whether or not Jack will be contributing a monthly farm report in the future, whether on this site or elsewhere? Jack’s in depth Rockies minor league reporting was obviously very professional quality writing and something that I looked forward to each and every month.
Even if it had to be in a shorter version that would still be much appreciated.
I’m not sure on this Rich, but would love to have something. When i first approached Steve about us getting together to buy the old site or build a new one, I told him that if we had a new one we would love to have him come by and I’d set up a special “Guest Speakers Corner” for him and anyone else on the “inside” to post in. I got the feeling that the work of keeping the old… Read more »
Nice looking site Jaredean. Looks very nice. I’m still poking around and finding more little gems here and there.
thanks for all the work.
This is an exceptional website, Jaredean…I look forward to continuing the great dialect with all of my fellow Rockies fans…again, great job!!!
How do I sign up? It looks like the sign up link was deactivated. Think I need to signup in order to add my avatar.
oh wow, it looks like my gravatar was carried over from the ITR site. Great job Jaredean! You say pardon the dust?? It doesn’t look like it’s under construction – WOW!
Thanks to Steve, Jack, and Tracy for setting up the original ITR and allowing us to come together as a tight community. Props to Jaredean for setting up this new site to keep us a tight knit community. That’s a walk off home run!
Thank you all – i posted it on Inside The Rockies at around 4:00 and then crashed…when i woke up i was very nervous about how many would come by, like it, etc…i’m very excited at the response so far in the last few hours! I forgot to explain above (and will update it) what the different areas of the site contain – the front will show the main story from NEWS as well as the various sections (SOUND OFF… Read more »
WOW! This is beyond impressive. Although I was a daily reader of ITR, I was mostly a silent lurker. First, thank you very much Jack, Steve, Tracy and all the others that made ITR a wonderful community. Second, Jardean, bless you for taking on the huge job of moving an entire community. By the looks of the new location it appears that we all have “moved up” to the West Side with George Jefferson. Early in this moving process you… Read more »
Hey EZW, just wanted you to know that I’ve included a “DONATE” link at the top bar if you’d like to contribute. I appreciate you and others asking about this…
Reporting a small bug – the time stamp of our comments are locked up; it is not up to date; all of us have 1 day, 15 hours ago comments.
Just adding my thanks and congratulations for a terrific new site.
Great job!
Thank you to Jardean, love it!
Very nice Jardean! Thank you.
You’re the man, Jaredean. I’m really, really looking forward to this! All of you guys are the best fans I’ve ever (not) known! We should have a get-together around a Rockies game this summer. I’d need advance notice to schedule a trip from back East, but it would be worth it to meet all of you personally.
I completely agree Bob…i really like the idea of meeting as a group – as it gets closer to the season i’ll add something for those of us that want to to be able to mark a spot, time and shout-out of those interested in showing up!
Bob in WV – There was talk in an older thread on the subject of the Rox rookie team moving to Grand Junction that we could spend a weekend together for the GJ home games when the MLB Rox are out of town. So check out this thread before the ITR site shuts down. I’m sure we will bring this topic up again once 2012 season gets rolling.
rmh… Reserve the July 20-21-22(F-S-S) date(and any of you other RWOers)…the Rox are on the road and the GJR are home. A road trip becomes very possible as I will have access to the Rox Party Bus or a 46ft motorhome…bus holds 15, motorhome holds 8…additionally I have a suburban with third row seating so if only 6 of us(including myself)wants to commit we can take that vehicle. I’m going to go no matter what transpires and I’m guessing you… Read more »
This is awesome Jaredean! Good work!!!
Very Cool, Jaredean. Thanks for your hard work!
Looks like the ITR crowd is gathering.
Nice, I’ll most likely be stopping by here.

And so it begins! I’m very excited about being able to continue to read comments from all of you as well as expressing my thoughts on a variety of subjects and topics. I’m spending the month of March in Scottsdale again and look forward to hooking up with any of you that may be coming my way. I have extra tickets for some of the games if anyone wants(4th row directly in front of the Rox ondeck circle). RoxWalkOff readers… Read more »

FANTASTIC JOB Jaredean! As one of many Rockies fans no longer living in the area, Inside the Rockies was my daily fix. I’ll be donating to the cause soon!
GO ROCKIES!
Just wanted mention a really nice feature here at RWO and that is the ability to reply to someone elses comment and being strategicly placed below that original comment. Sure there might be some bugs here and there, but overall Jaredean – GREAT JOB! Already doing the some in depth research for my first “Sound Off” post Thanks!.
or like this?
thanks Rich, that is something i wanted to have was “nested” comments…it is a trade-off in that it is nice to have your comment go right under someone else, but you also need to scroll up to see if you missed anything new…glad someone likes this way!
like this?
Just throwing in my appreciation and admiration. Thanks jaredean for an superb effort and thanks to Tracy, Jack and Steve for ITR. Now let’s go win the west! Jeem.
Just seeing if my gravatar is working
And it does!!!!!
I tried to think of everything 😉
You know how Facebook has a like button on people’s comments? Can we do that here???
yes, that is in the works – you will notice there is a glitch in the comments section that shows the number 30 and not the date of the post…well, once i get that fixed i’ll try to get a like button (i have it on my list of 42 high priority things to add!)
Well all,I hope I,m here, altough as always I’m having trouble registering. If this post works that’s all I care about for now.I think it’s my old fart AOL.browser that’s guming up the works. As I said over on good old ITR,all I can do is second all the kudos for Jaredean, and I’m looking forward to disagreeing with you all soon.HAPPY NEW YEAR-GO BRONCOS!Start the year off by giving the ROX a goal to surpass.
HA! “I’m looking forward to disagreeing with you all soon” — love it!
Sorry you had a hard time registering…I tried to make it as painless as possible, but now that you mention you are using an AOL browser i’m surprised you were able to register at all 🙂
Welcome to the other side GARY!

YEAH!,You’re all stuck with me for another year!!!!!!!!!!
Nice job jaredean. Thanks!
Is there a suggested dononation amount?
Hey Miketober, great to see you here! We can now get the party started!!! It seems like the average donation has been about $50, but I am EXTREMELY grateful for whatever is and has been given…i know each amount is a sacrifice for the person giving and I really appreciate it, because it gives me the ability to help pay for what I’ve done and am doing with RWO…so, i guess the suggestion is to give whatever you feel wont… Read more »
Of course, what a splendid blog and educative posts, I definitely will bookmark your blog.Best Regards!
Thanks semifuse, and welcome!
One thing I’d prefer to say is that often before obtaining more laptop or computer memory, look at the machine in which it will be installed. Should the machine can be running Windows XP, for instance, the memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Putting in greater than this would merely constitute some sort of waste. Make sure that one’s motherboard can handle the upgrade quantity, as well. Good blog post.
um…you lost me…i’m not sure what you are replying to – i don’t see a post asking about computer memory, etc…but, you are correct in your statement – just not sure who you are talking to!
I believe in this metaphor, Jim Tracy is the OS (and unfortunately XP), the players are memory and the brothers Monfort are the motherboard. Carry on.
Ha! That is classic. The geek in me knew exactly what they were saying about RAM and the limitations of 32bit/64, etc. I love your analogy and wish I’d read it that way at first! I’m sure we could do a whole massive post comparing this team to a computer, but then it would melt into a Mac vs Windows (NL vs AL?) discussion and nobody wants that.
Or do they?
Man I gotta get that “like” button working!
Great job on the site!
thanks Timo! Welcome!
I saw the talk of a new site on ITR several weeks ago, and have just now found y’all! Look forward to the continuing discussion and the same intelligent tone and camaraderie.
I wish the Rockies would pleasantly shock us with a pitching acquisition. Who? Beats me 🙂
Thanks roxnsox, glad you found us. Did you find it through ITR or some other way?
I was a semi-regular over there, and recently I searched through some of the last comment threads and found the name of RoxWalkOff
Throughout this particular huge scheme regarding points you’ll get a great A good with regard to exertion and work. Where you truly sacrificed anyone was first in your own specs. You already know, men and women point out, the devil is at the important points… And it also could not possibly be far more accurate in this post. However, let me tell you everything that do function. The written text is usually incredibly potent and that is certainly probably the… Read more »
Your point is very difficult to argue. However, book or no book, one must wonder if the lack of experience in said situations causes it to become a self fulling prophecy. I would submit that if Jim Tracy were to head the suggestions from this internet he could simply rewrite his own book. Of course it is possible that I have misunderstood your core point.
This turned into quite valuable in the beginning I did not agree with this although the end it proved to be wonderful. Beneficial for every man and woman … if you find that this info wasn’t more than enough, read it once again and you will see.
These spams are awesome.
They are quite funny. I’ve been trashing most of them, but when they make me laugh (and someone says something funny back) I just strip the web page link from their name.
Are they occuring solely on this thread? Thats interesting if so.
It seems like it is, which is very strange indeed…i don’t want to lock the comments down to approval or having to type some sort of crazy code each time…at least they are creative…
