It is time! Time to see if our top 9 will beat their top nine! Opening day has arrived and the Rockies begin the 2013 season on the road this year, stopping at Miller Park for the opening series. The lineups have been set and all that’s left is to hear those magic words…PLAY BALL!!!

Hey guys, I’ve added a star ratings system…i’m still perfecting it, but wanted to have it up for the first game…you will have a chance to vote on how you think the team will do, lineup, etc. and the post-game you can review the game with ratings…use freely!
I gotta say, i’m pretty dang excited for first pitch!!!
Nice job with the site Jare.
At Bat 2013 is not much better than 2012. $20 to subscribe. $3 a month and my phone is not supported. arrrgggg
Mike, i just sent you an email with something to try to see the game…test it now on the yankees/red sox game and see if it works…
hopefully you aren’t blacked out…
Chat up and going…Sorry about your phone Mike, that sucks…
MIke, I just tried using mine and got good audio, but no video…hopefully its an MLB thing? Am now at a computer. Hopefully it works for you by now.
Thoughts: Good outing for JC, plenty of hits but no runs except on long ball…nothing manufactured unlike Brewers, good D, clutch Dex, unable to find a way to win, last place already.
and potentially 161 more disappointments to follow.
Brutal loss. Relievers are the bane of my baseball fandom, Indians fan still cursing Jose Mesa and Eric Plunk.
Hope the runs coming all by HR don’t make us start looking for homers.
Need to go watch the Nelson baserunning gaffe, but have to wonder after all the talk of agressiveness we hold a runner at 3rd if Nelson thought it was worth a go.
Worst part is that the throw from right field was really lame. Rosario would have scored easily. Should have been first and third with one out and a run in, instead we have first and third with two outs. Worse yet, even with the botch, Nelson should have stayed on third and let Rosario step off. We would have at the very least improved the base runner. The lack of execution on that play is precisely what the Rox need… Read more »
It’s the little things a team does or doesn’t do over 162 games that mean 70 wins or 85.
Yeah. I just watched the play. I’m a Nelson fan, so at the risk of sounding like I am defending him, what on earth was Stu Cole doing out there? I’ve never seen a 3rd base coach as far down the line as he was. He was 2/3 of the way towards home plate. How is Nelson supposed to read him from there?
exactly
agreed Bob
Did anyone watch the post game? Was WW asked why he pulled Belisle after one pitch?
Chris Iannetta … hero of the Angels/Reds game. There were some good games today.
Didnt get to watch the last inning and a half, but it was an interesting game. Have to remember the other team is full of big leaguers as well. Our lineup was overall better today. Starting pitching was on our side. But our strength blew it today. Interesting how a game turns on one AB. If Chacin doesn’t walk the lat batter he faced on 4 pitches, he finishes the 7th. Then my guess is Belisle gets the 8th. Why… Read more »
