The Rockies finalized their 2015 field staff with the addition of KC Royals previous bullpen coach Steve Foster, who will be taking over as Pitching coach, and Darren Holmes as bullpen coach.
The 2015 Field Staff will look like this when they take the field this spring:
MANAGER: Walt Weiss
BENCH COACH: Tom Runnells
PITCHING COACH: Steve Foster
HITTING COACH: Blake Doyle
THIRD BASE COACH: Stu Cole
FIRST BASE COACH: Eric Young, Sr.
BULLPEN COACH: Darren Holmes
CATCHING/DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Rene Lachemann
well, there you have it…our new pitching coach – probably the number one most important key to the team in my opinion…thoughts on if this is a good hire or not? I have mixed views…
I went to High School with Darren Holmes in North Cackalacky – Asheville to be exact – home of the Rox Low A affiliate Tourists. T.C. Roberson High School. Darren is two years younger than me. The Rox made a number of internal promotions/adjustments today. Danny Montgomery was promoted.
Trivia for you – Danny played on the same HS team as new bullpen coach Darren Holmes (my HS). In fact, Danny and I were in the same graduating class (2 years ahead of Holmes).
