Tonight the Rockies will play the Dodgers for the second of three, looking to repeat the success they’ve shown so far in LA. The final score of 12-2 was more reminiscent of a game at Coors than an outing at Dodger Stadium.
Jorge De La Rosa looks to get his first win of his career against the Dodgers as he’s 0-7 in 13 games/9 career starts. This will be his sixth start of the 2013 season. He will be up against Hyun-Jin Ryu, who will make his first career start against the Rockies. In his first five career starts, he’s pitched into the seventh inning in all of them. Ryu has a record of 2-1 with a 3.41 ERA, while De La Rosa is 2-2 with a 2.86 ERA.
SWEET STAT: The Rockies began Monday night’s first inning against the Dodgers with a home run by Dexter Fowler, a single by Jordan Pacheco, a double by Carlos Gonzalez and a three-run homer off the bat of Wilin Rosario. It was the first time in the history of Dodger Stadium that the visiting team led 4-0, on the strength of multiple home runs, after only four batters had come to the plate.
