The Rox take on the Dodgers in the second of three as Chacin takes the mound against Greinke the fans can’t help but wonder if this will be the game that breaks the abysmal losing streak the team is currently on. Β The team has lost eight straight and 12 out of their last 14.

sorry about pre/post last night…i’ve just now posted the pre for todays game…so far so good – two strike outs in the first inning…
Weiss sure has the magic touch with the bullpen. Masset throws one pitch and we’re losing. Incredible.
Bullpen loses yet another game.
No Walt Weiss lost another game. What a fricken idiot. Is there a worse manager in the league?
You guys watching a different game than me? We haven’t lost this one…yet π
Was watching the game in the crystal ball which was a different game than the live game. π It just seemed like we were headed to another loss, but so stoked that we won the game. π
Up that RWO count!
This is my last post for a while (wrote a note to the friends on the website). To RMH, do you still think Morales has no value to this team? Been the only reliable pen arm for this whole homestand. After this week I think the team is now 3-15 in bullpen games, but today might be a real turn around. The real key is getting at minimum 6 innings of pitching. Butler despite not being very good Friday at… Read more »
I think Morales is EXACTLY where he should be – in the pen…he really has some sick stuff, but doesn’t have the mental toughness to go the distance of a starter…The Red Sox used him in limited situations and for the most part it worked…i was hoping he’d work out as a starter because when he is good he is un-hitable…
Doctor_Christopher, after seeing Frankie Mo make two appearances I’m loving him a lot more in the bullpen. I know you preached to me until I was red in the face that Frankie Mo can be helpful in the pen, but I had to see it to believe it. First time, he started the rally with his 8-pitch AB walk and hustled on the base paths to rally the Rox back from a hopeless 4-0 deficit to a 4-4 tie. Then… Read more »
I’m glad all you guys (gals?) are drinking the purple Kool Aid. Break an 8 game losing streak and everybody thinks everything is ok again. Wish I could agree but nothing changed. Should have put the game away long before the 10th inning. Bullpen still gives up the lead and that happens because starters can’t go deep into the game. If you think 6 innings is “good” then we are going to have the same thing that happens almost every… Read more »
Bill, I’m not sure many of us think everything is great in rox land – but just like we get down on tough losses we’d like to at least enjoy fun wins – especially a walk off win. Don’t begrudge us this much…nobody is jumping up and down like we won the world series after this one – if you read through the comments they are mostly subdued… I personally think Chacin should have been allowed to stay in and… Read more »
With low pitch count if he gets out of that, even with say a run, maybe he goes into the eighth.Either way he was throwing like last year-and last year he induced DP’s and often pitched out of jams.I think he was the best option given bullpens recent woes. Some times I get the feeling Walt is just guessing. On the other hand with recent performances by bullpen maybe throwing darts at the line up card would be just as successful.
