Still Undefeated During Current Homestand

Tonight Kerosene (5-6, 4.97), um no, Matt Belisle and his bullcrap pals get into a duel with Johnny Cueto (14-6, 2.05) in an attempt to help the Rockies win their second consecutive game. Franklin Morales was scratched from the lineup as he is expecting his baby tonight. Another twist in this long winding season, although not related to injuries and TOOTBLANs.

It is the first day of a 3-day celebration of #17 retirement party.  Tulo underwent a successful surgery today in Vail.  CarGo goes under the knife on Monday.

I also couldn’t help noticing that the A’s AAA affiliate has a great record whereas the Sky Sox have a terrible record, the Tulsa Drillers are about a .500 club and the Modesto Nuts have an absolutely terrible… Read more »

I’m not really sure if the records of minor league teams always translates into success at the big league level. But of course we know winning is contagious as is losing. I think that Rockies team at Ashville is doing well and Tulsa won the first half of the season in AA. I really haven’t been following the minors that closely but was startled by a figure I saw in the Irv Moss column about the Rockies minor leagues in… Read more »
