Another nice box score for Winkler: 6 innings, one home run and 5 singles let up, one walk, and 6 strikeouts. He raised his ERA to 0.90.

Nice, nice game. Much needed solid start for JDLR. We already know Blackmon and Dickerson are good……….so is Barnes. Good to see Rutledge homer and play a clean defensive game. Arenado is doing Brooks Robinson / Craig Nettles type things. Let’s gone to ‘Zona and get 2. Top draft pick last year P Mark Appel (Astros) sent back to extended spring training. “Not injury related” say the Astros. But Appel was moved up only to High A ball (compare Gray, who started at AA), and the results weren’t pretty over his first 4 starts. Gray in retrospect was the prize of that draft.
