In a spark of what it was like to watch September baseball in ’07, where it seemed like there was a different “hero” each night, the Rockies have shown something many thought this club didn’t posses anymore: a pulse.
On Tuesday it was Dickerson who led the team with four RBI’s. Wednesday was Morneau and his six RBI’s, five in the first inning alone. Thursday was of course Rosario with his 4-5, 3 RBI night (not to mention his RWO). Which leads us to friday, where Cuddy drew the long straw and proceeded to drive in seven RBI’s in two at-bats. A grand-slam and a bases clearing double.
The Rox extended their winning streak to four, but more importantly they’ve outscored their opponents 48-15 over that stretch.
Another nice surprise in the game was Ynoa’s four hits, although one of them (a triple he tried to stretch into an inside-the-park HR) saw him get thrown out at home.
The Rox are now officially 4th in the NL West as they continue to battle it out for last place against the Diamondbacks.
