The Rockies are hoping to bounce back from a horrible Memorial Day loss in an Astros walk-off. While the pitching was excellent, the hitting with RISP stank.
Today the pitching should, again, be excellent with the most consistent starts of the season coming from Jorge De La Rosa. Hitting has to step up, and thankfully to that end, Cuddyer is back in the lineup and hitting 5th. Cuddy has been on of the most clutch players with RISP this season.

Also, no game on TV today…
Unless you have MLBtv, then you can watch it…if you aren’t in a blackout…
Nice 50-game comments; I agree that Helton needs play bench player full time; regarding Oswalt, Purple Row had a couple of articles about him saying he has FIP of under 4 last year and he’s been sitting 91-92 fastballs. Way better than Garland and Francis. I think how we fare the rest of the year depends on how many games we have to throw away running Garland (and Francis to a smaller extent) out again and again before we finally… Read more »
another freaking bases loaded with no out and we leave the inning without a run?????!!@!!!!!! I Can’t STAND when this keeps happening…can’t see the game, but assume they are up there swinging for the fences? sheesh
This is horribly reminiscent of the past really bad teams, leaving so many in scoring position….gulp
A win is a win is a win, but that was ridiculously close.
I can hear Drew Goodman’s voice in my head. “Jordan Lyles is pitching the game of his life. But you know the Rockies are going to eventually start hitting.”
LMAO … but true
Hey a winner!
Gee, that was exciting. We’ll take it, but it sure lacked something.
When the post game article comes out, I’m giving it just two stars for rating the game based on this season even though we won.
Anybody watching the A’s vs the Giants and see that crazy 3rd inning?!?! The A’s, with a 4-1 lead, bring in Seth Smith to pinch hit with the bases loaded so Bochy goes to the BP and brings in Javier Lopez. Smith struck out. Not often you see that kind of maneuvering in only the 3rd inning. Especially with a 4-1 lead.
Bless the A’s for taking 2 from the Gnats.
