Hopefully the last times the charm. Today the Rockies will finish up not only their last game of their four-game series against the Giants, it will also be the last time they play the Giants this season. For all the lasts, there is a first to be included. Today will mark Jore De La Rosa’s return to the mound since he came out early in 2011 with elbow issues last May.
De La Rosa will be up against Barry Zito this afternoon in his quest to help the team avoid the sweep.

a day game that is actually on TV…i hope that is a good sign!
forgot to mention Rosario at 1st…it is his first start in the majors at 1st…
And CarGo hits into a double play…
Injury…or just quitting early?
Looks like ROX management has finally started listening to this site again. My suggestion of Rosario at first, and recent suggestion by others that Rutledge should be at 2nd to acclimate him for next year. Also,Pachecco has looked better to me,in limited duty, than Wilin behind the dish.It is so great to see DLR back and at least throwing decently considering his long road back.
I realize I’ve been beating this dead horse for a number of years now, but I can’t help myself because it infuriates me every time I see it. If you know your team has trouble scoring runs on the road, especially in SF, why doesn’t the MFL go into a game with the mind set that the team will play small ball at every opportunity and scratch and claw for any run they can come up with? Isn’t that what… Read more »
what a group of payasos.
Prog, A more appropriate word to describe this bunch would be “cobardes”, which loosely translates “quitters” or “fainthearted”. If someone who follows Troy Renck on Tweeter please confirm something, did MFL Tracy really say prior to the game that the Rox were overmatched? If true, no wonder this team has quit the past three Sept., the manager has also waved the white flag before they even take the field. We keep asking ourselves can it get any worse, but every… Read more »
I think you nean the answer is YES!
If the Rockies have 1 more win in them this year, please let it be Saturday night. I’ll be at the game. Hopefully they are not over matched.
