Tulo Back in Lineup for Rubber Match

Troy Tulowitzki is back in the Rockies lineup for the final game between LA and Colorado.  He has been sidelined since coming out of the game Sunday, or as some refer to it “Arenado Day”, after he tweaked his shoulder on an awkward slide at home.

ROCKIES LINEUP

DODGERS LINEUP

2. Dexter Fowler (S) CF 2. Hanley Ramirez (R) SS
3. Carlos Gonzalez (L) LF 3. Adrian Gonzalez (L) 1B
4. Troy Tulowitzki (R) SS 4. Matt Kemp (R) CF
5. Michael Cuddyer (R) 1B 5. Andre Ethier (L) RF
6. Wilin Rosario (R) C 6. A.J. Ellis (R) C
7. Nolan Arenado (R) 3B 7. Skip Schumaker (L) LF
8. Josh Rutledge (R) 2B 8. Juan Uribe (R) 3B
9. Juan Nicasio (R) P 9. Josh Beckett (R) P

In other news, the Rockies completed the Wilton Lopez deal by picking up Jose Monzon from the Astros.  Monzon was the “player to be named later” in the deal and seems to just be a waste of space on the bus, as he comes in as another outfielder on a team silly with outfielders.  He was hitting .214 | .301 | .282 with the Greenville Astros.

lol…I try to keep myself in check when I see his name. I am a supporter of anyone in the lineup as long as they produce..now if I knew we could give some games away on “overly agressive mistakes” I could live with it. Junior plays within his skills then I am a fan!

keep up the great work Jaredean!

Surprised Brignac isn’t in for Rutt. Looks like WW is trying to get Rutt going come hell or high water.

I like the lineup too to be honest. This may be the best lineup the Rox have right now, although I really like Pacheco in the lineup too. Only way to get him in this lineup imo is to take EY out and put Cuddyer in right and Pacheco at 1st. To be totally honest, I would prefer EY or Pacheco in the lineup everyday over Helton. Helton can provide a ton defensively and when he is hitting well he… Read more »

Cameo, the sad part about Todd going on the DL is he actually was heating up offensively…he was hitting .450 over the last 7 games (23 PA’s) with 3 doubles, 8 RBI’s and 1 HR…I think he was just slow getting started, so I – for one – really hope he comes back and makes a career of it this season…if he retires (and no reason why he shouldn’t), I want to see him play as much as possible, AS… Read more »

One of my huge Jim Tracy complaints was his short fuse with players. I like the fact the Weiss is sticking with Rutledge. It’s true his average isn’t there yet. But the power and speed are – and he’s even taking some walks. Defense has been solid also. Let him play!

H just stated after Fowler’s terrific catch…I thought the runner left early.

Really? He was watching the runner on 2nd instead of the fly ball?

Bulls**t, plain and simple.

Ed…on that call about the “tag up”…..i was surprised the 2nd base ump didn’t make the call…but then i thought maybe he was on his horse to look for the play, therefore he didn’t see the runner tagging up….is that how that worked?

Thanks pal!

Yup TJ, it’s the 1b umps call on the tag up…2b ump is going out to make catch/no catch call…
F, G & H are clueless on ANY rule interpretation.
Worse on if pitch is a ball or strike…they believe ford strike “box” is infallable…pahleeze.

Finished a tough road trip 3-4. Coming back home for what should be a really cool homestand against a couple of “name” teams that are vulnerable this year. Lets go 4-2!

Nicasio and DLR are so miserable to watch!! The game seems to move so slooooooow when they are on the mound. There also seems to be constant stress with these pitchers each inning.

Good pitchers, just can’t stand watching them. And that is my two cents for this fine Thursday….

well said Poot…but still a big fan of DLR so hope he continue to make progress. Thank GOD none of our pitchers work the mound like Beckett. That had to be the slowest pitcher I have seen. Talk about painful…Bentencour’s old routine was fast compared to him.

Good series win to come home with !

jaredean, for me personally you guys really don’t have to spend a ton of time doing the post games. I do enjoy what you guys write, but I would be fine too with just a quick blurp just to get the chat started up. I mean, this isn’t your job after all. You do it on your spare time for fun, so I for one don’t need or expect a huge post game wrap up.

I went to bed when the score was 5-3 and was pleasantly surprised to wake up this morning with the score 7-3. Road trip was 3-4, not great, but I’ll take especially after starting 1-3. DLR has pitched well except for the last game. I hadn’t realized he has never beaten the Dodgers and pitches poorly against them. Perhaps the next time we can skip his turn in the rotation. Nicasio did not pitch well last night and therefore didn’t… Read more »
